Eskil Ronningsbakken is seen balancing on the edge of a 304m high cliff edge in Norway, on September 6, 2009.
Delicately poised one handed on a ladder high at the edge of the Flydalsjuvet cliff in Geiranger, Norway, the young extreme balancing artist pushes the boundaries of strength and concentration with his latest incredible balancing feat.
The extraordinary daredevil repeated this amazing display over 40 times. Building the rig himself, Eskil balanced for around 15 to 30 seconds at a time before he was happy with the images.
Built on the weight arm principle, which allows a relatively high amount of weight at the balancing end, Eskil added 150 kg of weights to one end and had his cousin, Kjetil Nordal, keeping it stable by hand.
