Intrepid kayaker Luke Spencer runs the 70ft high Outlet Falls in Washington state in January of this year.

Long viewed as the holy grail for North American Kayakers, the Outlet Falls overflow with this much water only once a decade.

Taken at midday on January 10th, Luke successfully ran the the icy water fall after a hair-raising 50 yard approach.

The falls were flowing with unusually high levels of water because of a freak high temperature weather system that had blown in from the Pacific over the west coast of the United States.
