Hundreds of people have gathered with their camels for the annual Pushkar fair in the Indian desert state of Rajasthan today (October 26).

The Pushkar Fair, one of India’s top tourist attractions, was flagged yesterday. The fair which continues for five days, is a mesmerising mix of culture, commerce, camels and colours that was once the pride of Rajasthan’s tourism industry.

Billed as the world’s biggest cattle fair, hundreds of nomads from rural areas arrive to buy and sell camels, horse and sheep.
