This incredible photo shows The World in Dubai, as seen from a satellite.

A multi-billion dollar development designed to make Dubai the envy of the world has ground to a halt. It was to be inhabited by celebrities and the super rich but a year since building work finished, the 300 islands shaped like a map of the earth remain a collection of sandy dots building the islands in the Persian Gulf has taken six years and cost $14 billion, yet it appears the global recession has put an end to The World.

That’s right — The World is coming to an end.

    Hey, there is no such thing as Arabian Gulf, you need to do some research on the name before using it. It is PERSIAN GULF.
