Bonita Norris poses for a photo during one of her practice runs in prepation to become the youngest British female to successfully climb Mount Everest.

Hailing from Wokingham, Berkshire, the 22-year-old arrived at Everest’s Base Camp on Wednesday (April 14) after a nine day trek.

The young media graduate already holds the world record as the youngest woman to climb Mount Manaslu in Nepal — just 645m shorter than Everest — during a training climb in 2009.

Her latest feat will take place in May.
