A BUG’S LIFE

The first few seconds of a mosquito’s life captured on camera in Sevenoaks, Kent, England.

Measuring just two millimetres in length these newly hatched mosquitos were captured by brothers Will and Matt Burrard-Lucas.

Will noticed dozens of mosquito larvae swimming around in a plant pot full of stagnant water at their parents’ home, so they set up an indoor studio.

The brothers placed the larvae in distilled water at room temperature and waited two weeks to catch the five-minute hatching process on macro lenses.
