US WILL SUE ARIZONA OVER IMMIGRATION LAW

Unnamed Justice Department sources tell the Associated Press that Justice officials later today (July 6) will announce the filing of a lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of Arizona’s new law that targets illegal immigrants.

The suit will argue that the state’s new measure requiring state and local police to question and possibly arrest illegal immigrants usurps federal authority.

The announcement has been expected for weeks. President Barack Obama has called the measure misguided but supporters say it’s a reasonable reaction to federal inaction on immigration.

illegal means illegal!!if the federal government doesn’t want to do the job, the states have the right to enforce them. I am wondering if Arizona or a citizen can suit the federal authority for not enforcing the laws?
