MARRIED FOR 61 YEARS, COUPLE PARTS IN DEATH — BUT ONLY FOR A DAY

Joseph and Laura Presutto spent only one day apart in their 61 years of marriage. It was Monday, the day between their deaths.
Laura died Sunday. Joseph died Tuesday. Both were 86. The pair met during World War II and married in 1947.

WORLD’S OLDEST PERSON DIES AT 115

Dr. Charles Witt says Gertrude Baines, a.k.a. the world’s oldest known person, died today (September 11) at a hospital in Los Angeles. The doctor says she likely suffered a heart attack but an autopsy would be needed to confirm how she died.
